Itinerary Description

Day 1: Arrival Zanzibar Airport.

If you come by domestic or international flight into Zanzibar Airport, you will often be met upon arrival. If you arrive by boat or ferry from Dar es Salaam or elsewhere, you will be met in the harbor. Our transferring driver will accompany you to your waiting vehicle and bring you to Stone Town where your 4-day Zanzibar tour will begin the following morning. Depending on your arrival time, our guide will greet you at the hotel or airport and give you a briefing on the upcoming activities.

Day 2: Explore Spice and Historical tours in Stone Town

You can select either the spice tour or the old city tour in Stone Town today. Since both activities last between two and three hours, you can combine a spice trip with a history tour on a single day.

Spice Tour.

On your spice tour, you will have the chance to taste, smell, and observe how various spices and fruits are cultivated and processed. Zanzibar is well known for being the Spice Island, or in Swahili, “Marashi ya karafuu,” a lush green hideaway filled with diverse kinds of plants and spices. The journey will conclude with a visit to the Maruhubi Palace remains and the Kidichi Persian baths.

Stone Town Tour.

Stone Town is the cultural center and capital of Zanzibar. You will discover the richly decorated buildings and intricately carved doors, as well as the famous slave market, which now houses the Anglican Church. The slave market is also referred to as “the House of Wonders.”

Following your activities in Stone Town, you will be transferred to Ras Nungwi for beach relaxation on the white sands beach where the reefs and sands reign supreme.

Day 3: Explore Zanzibar full day on the beach.

Northern Zanzibar beaches are ideal all year. When visiting this area, you will spend the nights in sea-facing bedrooms for the best relaxation. The nights here are silent, with only you and the Indian Ocean to keep you company.

Day 4: Departure.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport or the Boat Station for your onward flight.
