ITINERARY DESCRIPTION BY DAY

Day 1 :Transfer to Mikumi, Full day game drives

You will be picked up early in the morning from your Morogoro town residence to drive to Mikumi National Park. When you arrive at the park, you will be checked in and then embark on a full day of game drives in an open safari vehicle. Game drives will take place throughout the park, with a mid-day lunch break, and will continue until the end of the full day game drives. Expect to see Lions, Buffalos, Giraffes, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos, over 300 bird species, and various plant species in Mikumi National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Mikumi Park Cottages within the park.

Day 2 : Morning game drives and Transfer to Udzungwa Mountains.

This morning, you will depart for morning game drives, which will continue after breakfast. Following breakfast, game drives will be conducted throughout the park. After lunch, at 15:00, you will be transferred to Mikumi village for dinner and an overnight .

Day 3 : Trekking Udzungwa Mountains

This trip’s goal is to show you the natural habitats of Udzungwa National Park. This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Mikumi village and driven to Udzungwa National Park. When you arrive, you will be checked in and begin climbing the Sanje route to see the four stages of waterfalls. Udzungwa is one of the world’s thirty-four biodiversity hotspots. Primates are to be expected. Udzungwa is home to 11 primates, two of which are unique to the region: the Sanje Mangabey (Cercocebus sanjei) and the Iringa Red Colobus (Procobus gordonorum). You may also see habituated Sanje Mangabeys, various endemic plant species, birds, reptiles and amphibians, butterflies, waterfalls, and so on. When you arrive, you will begin your journey back to Morogoro town, stopping in Mikumi for lunch and refreshments. When you arrive in Morogoro town, you will be taken to your hotel, and your three-day safari will come to an end.
