Itinerary Day Description

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO MASAI MARA AND AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE

To start the safari, you will be picked from the airport upon arrival or from your hotel in Nairobi, followed with a briefing by our tour guide about the trip.

Game Drives in Maasai mara

Embark on journey making the first stop for breathtaking views and photography at the Great Rift valley that spreads from the North to the south of Kenya. At this very point you may also choose to visit the art and craft market to purchase some African gifts then proceed on a drive to Masai mara. The drive to the park will welcome you with wildlife views like zebras, Warthogs, Wild beests, Monkeys and Baboons and Giraffes. check in at the hotel, have lunch and drive for to your first game drive, enjoy views of Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Kobs, Leopards, Buffaloes, Antelopes among many others.
Later after this adventure in Maasai Mara you will drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 – 3: MAASAI MARA FULL DAY GAME DRIVE AND MARA RIVER

You will have an early morning breakfast followed by a full day game drive at the Masai Mara National Reserve on day two of this masai mara safari 3 days, drive to the park entrance where you will have a chance to view more animal count around the park including lions, elephants, giraffes, wildbeasts, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, hippos, thompson’s gazelle among many others with your guide coming in hand to give you all the details of the animals you will have spotted plus their ways of life.
The full day game in Maasai Mara will enable you to explore other areas of the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Mara Triangle to the Mara Bridge, which is at the border of Tanzania just next to the famous Serengeti National Park. You will make a few stops along the banks of the scenic Mara River as to allow you to stretch your legs during your game drive. With your packed lunch you will have a 1 hour’s snug picnic lunch break as you enjoy more of this park. Later have a guided community tour to the Maasai Mara and experience the stable pastoral culture of the oldest inhabitants of East Africa, the Masai. You will be fascinated by the men who stand tall and proud with their culture. The Masai women are bejeweled with bright beaded earrings and adorned with the brilliant red, blue and purple patterns of the shukas and scarves they wear. This will all be a 2 hour’s activity full with Traditional songs, dances, cultural practices and a community walk. Return to the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Visit the Masai people and depart for Lake Naivasha

on this day you will have a leisurely breakfast and head to the Maasai Communities situated along the borders of the reserve for an interaction with the local Maasai people, during the visit you will learn about the cultural and traditions of these people , visit the Masai Bomas, be entertained by local dances and drama among others.

After the experience you will have lunch and then embark on a journey to Lake Naivasha arriving in the late evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: explore Lake Naivasha and explore the Crescent Island

Have breakfast and head to Lake Naivasha for a day of adventure, explore  lake Naivasha on boat and also visit the crescent Island Game Sanctuary found in the middle of Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake found in the Rift valley chain and it is the highest of the Rift Valley lakes, this lake is a birder’s haven hosting over 400 bird species with large number of flamingoes. Other birds include great cormorants, long tailed, fish eagles, kingfishers among others.

The Crescent Island also known as crescent Island Game Sanctuary is found in Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley, the forest  is a home to several wildlife species such as Masai Giraffe, hippos,  impalas, Defassa waterbuck, zebras, wildebeests,  grants Gazelles, Bushbucks among others which you will be able to see.  In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Day 6: Lake Naivasha-Nairobi

After breakfast you will checkout of the lodge and embark on a journey back to Nairobi for a drop off, when you arrive in Nairobi you will have lunch and then be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
